Players by the Sea is a vibrant artistic home where community and storytelling meet through inspired collaboration. Powered by passionate volunteers and artists, PBTS produces bold work that sparks conversation, celebrates creativity, and invites audiences to see the world—and each other—a little differently. Productions
Players by the Sea features two performance spaces – the 150-seat John McManus Mainstage Theatre and the intimate 80-seat Grace Darling Studio Theatre. We tell a wide variety of stories, ranging from large Broadway musicals to edgy contemporary plays to re-invigorated classics. Our productions have garnered local awards, including Folio Weekly’s Best Production in Jacksonville (Rent, 2014) and BroadwayWorld Jacksonville’s Best Musical (American Idiot, 2017) and Best Play (Fences, 2017).
Our Venue
Conveniently located in Jacksonville Beach, our venue is perfect distance to dining establishments, shopping, and of course, the beautiful beach.
In addition to our two performance spaces, our venue includes:
- Classroom + Rehearsal Space equipped with mirrors and special dance flooring
- Workshop
- Costume Shop + Storage
- Art Gallery
- Dressing Rooms
